Just to let you know we will soon have a few new features added to your client area. The best ones are that it will allow you to see the status of your server and start/stop it all from one place instead of the seperate control panel we have at the moment. We think this will be a lot easier to use and also more customizable to fit the user.
The official map pack for United Offensive is now out. We will put this onto your CoD:UO server if you want it or you can upload it via ftp to the server. If you need to download the map pack you can get it at the following link:
The much anticipated patch for united offensive has been released along with the patch for the original call of duty. For the information on everything that has changed please read the changelog below. If you would like your server patched please put in a support ticket and we will get it done as soon as possible.
We have recently setup our own dedicated server just for hosting http redirects for games such as Call of Duty: United Offensive and Unreal Tournament 2004. We are now offering these as a new service and we will have the prices on the site shortly. If you do not know what a redirect is, basically it is a webserver that clients can download custom files from that you have installed on your server. This means that the speed of recieving the files are no longer 5KBPS but the speeds you would get when you download from a website.
On the 30th of November UBI released that they are making another new rainbox six. This game is expected at the moment around spring 2005. If you would like to learn more about the game please go to the following link which will provide you with a lot more information.
As most of the half life fans will know half-life2 deathmatch has now been released and is available on steam. We are looking into hosting this game but at the moment we are still monitoring the resource usage to try and work out a pricing structure. Once we have pricing for this game we will add them to the list and start offering servers to the public. If you would like to trial a server please contact a Deadly Hosting admin and they will be glad to help you out.
The guys from Northern Bridge clan have recently had a hands on preview of the new battlefield 2. It is said that the ability to blow things up is a more important part of the game this time round with the ability to blow up bridges, radars and a lot more which adds a more strategic element to the game. Jamil Dawsari from EA has said that it is possible to strap c4 to vehicles and players allthough it was not intended at first. However they are not sure whether this feature will still be available in the final release.
